Zumbo Patiserrie + Kettle Black + Brunetti Melbourne

Zumbo Patiserrie

Claremont St, South Yarra VIC 3141, AustraliaOpening hours: 7am-7pm

Adriano Zumbo is a well known chef. He does beautiful cakes & has appeared on several TV programmes. Upon walking into the shop, you see the sign 'Zumbo" right away. It's kinda captivating haha. The pastry glass chillers display all his pastries & they are all presented so well! Makes you wanna buy everything.
The macarons were one of the best i've ever had. The flavours were out of this world! Def worth the price!

Kettle Black
50 Albert Rd, South Melbourne VIC 3205, AustraliaOpening hours: 7am-4pm

Kettle Black is known for their brunch menu. I read rave reviews of thier Ricotta Hotcakes. I realized there are several cafes serving up thid particular dish. Seems like it's a crowd fav! I bused down with my friend & we couldn't wait to try the highly raved about Ricotta Hotcakes. We shared 1 dish as the portion was really huge! We couldn't even finish the hotcakes tbh.

We were placed at a communal table, sharing table with other customers. My friend and i were kinda disappointed with the service as the guy who brought us to the table had us wait for at least 5mins for a menu. Another couple who was seated on the same table as us, in fact they were seated directly opposite us.. Were given their menus right away. Few more people who came in were given their menus right away too. As it was a tad busy, it was difficult to catch one of the server's attention. We received our menus in the end after looking around aimlessly for 5mins.

Apart from the disappointing service, we did enjoy our food! The Ricotta Pancakes were so fluffy!! We loved it! It's a MUST TRY when visiting Kettle Black!

Brunetti

214 Flinders Ln, Melbourne VIC 3000, AustraliaOpening hours: 7am-8pm

Brunetti has been ard for several years. In fact, Singapore has opened one at Tanglin Mall for quite some time. Unfortunately, the reviews on the outlet at Tanglin Mall has several bad reviews! My friend who has eaten the one in Melb says that SG's franchise is a far cry from the original outlet. I've never eaten at the one in SG so i can't judge.

I did however, try the one in Melb! It was not bad. I had a Parma Ham & Rocket sandwich. For desserts i tried their Salted Caramel Eclair & Cannoli. While i absolutely loved their Eclairs, i even went bac for seconds (lol), i did not enjoy eating the Cannoli. I didn't like the crust of the Cannoli. I found it to be really hard & tasteless. The filling within wasn't as appetizing either. Everything else we ordered was fine, except for the Cannoli.

Here's a video i did of all the food places we visited in Melbourne! (:
