Gold Coast- Espresso Motto Cafe & Little Truffle Dining Room & Bar

My brother brought my mum & i around Gold Coast after her running group left for SG. We extended another week to explore Gold Coast & Adelaide(at a later part of the trip). All the cafes/restaurants recommended by my brother were amazing! I never once had a bad meal in Australia! Everything tasted oh so heavenly! I'm missing the food so much now.

Espresso MotoAddress: Shop 2/1389 Gold Coast Hwy Palm BeachOpening Hours: 5.30am-2pm (Daily)

Little Truffle Dining Room & Bar

Address: 2444 Gold Coast Highway, Corner Bondi Avenue, Mermaid Beach 4218Opening hours:
Lunch: 12pm-3pm (Friday & Sat only)

Little Truffle is an atas restaurant. The service is really good & the food is so darn good! Though it's kinda pricey, but the food & service totally makes up for it. Perfect place for special occasions or if you just wanna dine at a fancy place, i'd highly recommend Little Truffle Dining Room & Bar! (:

We tried their special menu & it was so good. Everyone loved their dish. Not a single complain at all!

Gold Coast- Kangaroo Park + Tamborine National Park

The first couple of days in Gold Coast was spent with my mum & her running group. We visited places such as Tamborine National Park & Kangaroo Park.
Kangaroo Park was a lil sad cause we only managed to spot ONE Kangaroo despite the name of the park. Hahaha. I tried chasing after it trying to get a shot but it hopped away so fast. But the park was beautiful! Very nice for taking photos!

Tamborine park was disappointing. It wasn't as how we had pictured it to be. Also, photos of the park seen on the internet is not at all accurate. We wanted to hike up to the waterfall area, as seen from the photos posted by people, it looked so pretty! But when we got to the top where the waterfall is, we were so disappointed! It wasn't really a waterfall either. Plus, the hike up wasn't as scenic so i would def recommend giving this a miss. I am sure there are way better stuff to see in Gold Coast.

There was a gallery walk near Tamborine area which had a long row of stores selling cute lil knick knacks.

Gold Coast Airport Marathon

Shortly after i came back from Melbourne, i flew off to Gold Coast with my mother. The main purpose of this trip was to attend the Gold Coast Airport Marathon. Apparently this race is a pretty huge deal & garners over 10k participants. I offered to go with my mum just to ensure that she is safe & nothing happens to her during her run. She joined the half marathon(21km) category, whereas, i joined the 10km category. Mine isn't considered to be a marathon! Hahaha. I am not a long distance runner. In fact, i don't even like running long distances! Gotta give it to my mum for completing the 21km race in 2hours flat!! My mum's 50+. So for a woman her age to complete a half marathon at 2hours flat is pretty damn amazing. She was determined to complete it at least under 2hours. Her first 21km she completed it in 2hrs15mins. She shaved off 15mins! That's beyond amazing. So proud!!

The entire event was very well organized! Something sometimes i wish some SG running organizations would possess. As there were several races going on, they planned it in a way where none of the categories would clash! There was enough space for everyone & it wasn't squeezy at all.

I completed my 10km run within 57mins! My first 10km i completed it in 1hr6mins. I think it's because of the cooling weather thus, everyone could beat their PB timings!

Coach Lexus. He coaches the F1 Running Group. My mum has been in the group for quite some time alr. Her running has improved tremendously!
