Had dinner at 'With a pinch of salt' & it was alright. It was quite difficult to communicate w the waitress though. I had to repeat a few times & when i asked her some qns abt the dish she totally replied a whole diff thing. She's a Philippino if i'm nt wrong. Still, she was nice to us & wasn't like those nasty kinds.

Broccoli soup (Soup of the day)

Seafood Tom Yam pasta.
This dish was the chef's recommendation as stated in the menu & it wasn't disappointing! I loved it in fact! But this is def nt a dish for ppl who cnt take spicy fd! It's quite spicy!

Uncle Mac's Favourite.

This dish consist of steak, lamb, chicken, bacon, ham, potato wedges & a sunny side up. It wasn't as fantastic & the steak was cooked to medium well when we requested for Medium rare. 

Bread & Butter Pudding.

I gta say.. The MOST PATHETIC bread & butter pudding i've ever seen! So what if my order was a set meal! Doesn't mean u give me a super pathetic thin slice! What a "perfect" way to end the dinner! I was expecting a normal sized piece not a flat slice! Like wth. When i saw it i immediately mumbled to myself 'WTF U GTA BE KIDDING ME!' -.-

So happy! & This time it's gna last till July! Tt's almost 2 months. Usually it's only for 1 month. So anw, i walked ard Vivo & walked into Topshop! I managed to find the 1 item on sale tt i can fit into! Mostly all the items on sale are usually those huge sizes. So far, havent rly seen much items tt i like except for tt Bralet! (:

Sunday Outfit

I'm so glad tt though i work on Sunday for Brunch/lunch service, at least i end work by 4pm & my evenings are free for loved ones (: Went hme to chng into something simple & comfortable! (: In my watercolour floral shorts & 2 tone long sleeve! :D

Zhou's Kitchen

Had lunch w my mum at Novena, Zhou's kitchen! The food was quite nice but the service was shit! The male waiter tt served asked mumbled as he spoke & we cldnt even hear a singe thing he was saying! When we asked him to repeat, he gave the super annoyed look & MUMBLED again! Like wth. He shld go for some presentation skills course! We can't speak Chinese v well, & we told them to get a English speaking waiter to tend to us. Which they did in the end but none of them spoke proper English! -.- I rather nt dine there if such bad service is given & u are even paying for their horrible service!




Momsie drinking her soup. I grew up drinking soup almost everyday cause of momsie's love of soup! (: I rly LOVE soup. All kinds in fact.

This was super delish! Portion is too much for 1 person though. 2 ppl to share wld be just nice.

Zhou's kitchen signature mixed vegetables.
There was some kind of alcoholic taste to it? But it went rly well w the whole dish.

Actually, i loved the food there. It's pretty awesome. Sadly they hv bad service. If not it wld hv been a great combination for a restaurant to hv good service & good food! Yes?

Floral tops & bottoms are seen everywhere! I love all things floral! Haha even my room is decorated w floral stuff. Like my bed sheet, wall sticker, pillow case etc. They are such pretty sight don't ya think? (:
& Crochet clothes will nvr go out of style. Love these kinda clothes! (:

Kiki the common cat.

R's cat, Kiki, is one of my fav cats & one tt i am not afraid of! Haha i'm actually quite afraid of cats & i am nt fond of cats. But Kiki's an exception (: He is so adorable & quite obedient!

Bleached + Blue dye

Okay as the title of my post states.. I bleached my hair & dyed it Blue. Well, what-was-supposed-to-turn-out-blue, but didn't sadly :( So anw, i did it myself w the cleear instructions given by my friend. I stayed up all night tryin to get TURQUOISE instead of intense Blue. & I actually succeeded!!! Till i washed it w shampoo -___- It became Green? Hahahaha i was damn annoyed but gave up in the end cause i was mad sleepy! My friend's hair colour is damn nice! Idk how she do it..

I WILL BLEACH & DYE MY HAIR AGAIN! THIS TIME IT BETTER TURN OUT RIGHT!

A rly excited looking me abt to dye my hair! (: Oh yes, i hv been waiting years to dye my hair Turquoise/Blue but salons charge $100! So ex. I just wanna dye the bottom. Yknow like dip dye?

My 'Hair-dye' items! (: Everything cost abt $8. So cheap!

Mixing the bleaching powder & liquid solution! Used the toothbrush to apply the dye. Threw it away aft the whole process(obviously).

Bleaching it. U can see it become super light Brown/Blonde.

The bleaching process takes damn long & i bleached it for 2hrs before washing it off. Looks like it was too short cause the colour wasn't blonde enough. It has to be rly blonde in order to make the Blue dye visible. I used cling film so it wldnt ruin my clothes! Hahaha.

Applied the Blue dye aft washing off the bleached parts.

The end result! Initially there were soe streaks of Turquoise but silly me used shampoo & it got ruined! :( Now it's more like Green?

Must apply ALOT of conditioner as u can see my hair got pretty dry aft the whole process. & The colour ain't obvious enough :'( WILL TRY AGAIN PRETTY SOON!

Pandan cake

Baked a Pandan Chiffon Cake for Russell's belated birthday dinner w R & it did not turn out tt great as we exepcted! Oh well. I hv nvr baked a Pandan cake before & this wld be my first. I know how impt it was to hv the cake come out light & fluffy. I feared it wld come out rly dense & flat! Thank God it came out fine! (: Just tt it was abit too dry once it cooled.

If u're wondering why i baked a Pandan Cake as a birthday cake.. Cause it's Russell's fav cake of all time!! Didn't want to bake something he didnt like so might as well make something tt he loves & will eat! (:


R's mum was kind enough to explain the instructions of the recipe to me & she even took out the ingredients for me to use! As u can see, the recipe is written in Malay.

Whipping up the egg whites & sugar! Prolly did not whip it enough which was partly why the cake was not a success.

Little Pancakes.

The one thing i love most & a must hv whenever i wake up early for breakfast is.. PANCAKES!
I hv tried pancakes made by several eateries & hardly any were to my liking. It was always either too dense, not fluffy enough, not light, or js plain disgusting in terms of taste.

I dropped by Little Pancakes the other day for dessert & i immediately fell in love w their presentation of the dish! It was so atas pls! Tell me which cafe tt sells pancakes wld do up such a beautiful plate of pancakes?! Alr their presentation won me over. I even saw the lady quenelle the butter!! QUENELLE(refers to a food item made into an oval or egg shape)!! I was like "Woah." This aint some ordinary pancakes man! Lol.

I would def recommend this place for breakfast, dessert, or even supper! Cosy lil place w pretty awesome pancakes served! Also, their service is rly good! The moment u step in u are greeted w a warm smile & a brief explanation on how to proceed w the order. Rly friendly ppl! (:

Going Nutella For You.
I love love love this dish! Chocolate lovers wld prolly lick the plate! Haha. It was super duper delicious! Looking at the pics now is making me hungry! Look at the plating of the pancakes!! They brought the 'Usual-plain-looking-pancakes' to a whole new level!

I will def go back again sometime. I was rly full tt day & cldnt order more. Will be back for more! I mean it when i say it's the BEST pancakes i've ever eaten.
