3rd Year Anniversary.

On 31 July, was our 3rd year anniversary. R is my longest partner i've been with. His longest was 7yrs. Hahaha win me hands down. Lol. Ok anw... Back to topic..

We were unable to celebrate our anniversary on the actual day as i had work & was on full shift. & The next few days werent easy too as it was his fasting month plus right aft tt was Hari Raya. So we celebrated somewhere in between. It was a very very simple celebration. We had dinner at House, located at dempsey hill. I rly loved how cosy House is,& their food was not tt bad at all.









R is not a romantic guy, though i wish he wld be. Cause i'm the kind of girl tt loves a guy who'd randomly buy flowers for a girl, or plan an adventurous day etc. But no, he is the total opposite. But i will tell u one thing though, R is v loving towards me. He can be a real sweet pea when it comes to me. He sends me to work almost everyday & fetches me from work too. Whenever he is free, he wld meet me. Because of the industry i work in, i hardly hv time spent w him. But when i do, it is usually spent on his bike (when he sends & fetches me to/from work). Though it may seem like we spend a lot of time tgth, we don't. We dont hv the time to go out & shop or catch a movie. These kinda things only happens once in a while when he has to apply for leave on MY off day.

So R may not be a romantic partner, but he is MY boring partner, who rather stay at home & hv me beside him. Vice versa for me to him. I told him from the start i only want 2 things from him, which is priceless. 

1. To care for me like no other.
2. To love me endlessly.

So you see.. My 2 request aren't difficult to meet right? I am someone who needs plenty of love & care. I need my partner to give me all his attention. Yes, i am an attention seeker when it comes to R & only him alone. I don't care if he doesnt buy me gifts. But i do treasure handmade gifts a hell lot! Till date, he has not made me one -.- I'm still waiting. Hahaha.

Our love story is not some fairytale. It's like every other r/s. & I love the fact tt our r/s gets from worse to better ech & every passing day. Trust me, we're like 2 hot headed animals when it comes to arguments  We go all out w/o surrendering. It took time for us both to realize one has to give & take & compromise to the other.

The colour run 2013!

As most of u who are not living under a rock wld hv alr known & seen manyyyy pictures of The Colour Run event! It was sold out within hours from the opening of registration. I was so excited abt it. I waited lika kid who cldnt wait for her ice cream. I was looking forward to the day. & Man, when the day arrived, i was all pumped & cldnt wait to be covered in colours!

It's a 5km run whereby every 1km u reach, a colour will be thrown at u. So there were 4 colours: Pink, Blue, Yellow & Red. I thought there wld be green though. So anw, the 5km RUN turned into a WALK & a super slow jog. Nobody bothered to run lor. Hahaha i swear this is the most tedious 5km i've ever "ran". Every 5mins tt we jogged, there'd be a huge group of people walking at snail speed. Plus it's quite difficult to get pass them as there were many many participants. Every checkpoint there's a water booth. People were dressed in spontaneous outfits! It was madness! If i'd known u cld wear anything to the event, i'd worn a tutu! Tell me which run-events allows u to wear out of the world outfits?! None except the colour run!!

Finally got my hands on a 2nd hand record player i purchased from my sous chef! Certain songs js sound way better on vinyl. Artist like The civil wars, The XX, Florence & The machine, Ben Howard, Damien Rice, Kodaline etc. are rly good on vinyl.

Kite flying.

I have been asking R to go Kite flying w me & on a picnic for ages!!! We finally went tgth w our fav couple last month. I cooked everything from the chicken to the desserts. It was an evening picnic while we flew our eagle kite. Sadly, my eagle kite flew away when the boys were playing it :'(

Here are the list of equipments u can purchase from:

• Plastic containers- SKP, or if u have spare ones lying ard use them
• Ice cream plastic jars- Rochor Centre. *Glass cannot be used to freeze things*
• Wooden tray(used to put the creme brulee)- Daiso

• Turkey ham: Mustafa
• Cranberries: Cold Storage

Mission wrap + cranberries + turkey ham + salad + bechamel sauce + chopped garlic.

Mesclun salad + cherry tomatoes + Vinaigrette.


Roasted chicken marinated overnight w herbs & chilli powder, stuffed w garlic inside the carcass.


I made 2 flavours of ice cream: Coffee & Vanilla.

Vanilla creme brulee.
Was so darn happy it turned out well in ma oven!! First time baking it in my oven. Was so afraid it it wld fail.

Tomato soup w herbs in a jar.


Cherry tomatoes tossed in vinaigrette dressing.

Work.

It was Allan's last day of work & he cooks Chinese food really well! So on his last day, we had a staff meal tgth. He cooked his famous sweet & sour pork for us & i loved it sooo much!! Sweet & sour pork is my all time fav dish! So far the best one i've ever tasted so far wld be Boon Tong Kee's! It's so crispy & supa yumzzz!

Homecooked food for Dd

Whenever i gv the time, i wld cook for DouDou instead of giving her her dog food. It's really easy to prepare plus it's much healthier for your dog.


I cut up small cubes of apples & halfed cherry tomatoes.

Steamed rice for her. It's better if you have brown rice. I will throw in the fish, apples & tomatoes in the rice cooker when there's still water so it will cook through. I usually add more water to the rice so tt it's easier for her to digest & she wont eat so fast.

I put her food in front of the fan so tt it wld cool down faster. Hahaha.

Dd has skin problem. Most Shi Tzus have this prob. So feeding her homecooked food w/o any salt actually works v well for her skin. She doesnt bite herself much nor does she scratch tt often.

Louis's commissioning ball.

About a month ago, Louis texted me asking if i could be his date for his Commissioning Ball. When i read the msg, i was shocked! I replied back saying "Did u text the wrong person?". Was shocked why he wld even think of asking me. Well anw, i agreed & secretly was quite happy. Hehe. Always wanted to go to a Commissioning Ball but figured i'd nvr get a chance to, till Louis! (: So yes, i can strike tt off my bucket list. Hahaha.

Anw, it was held at USS, at a super casual place called "Louis pizza". Food was disappointing. Sad to say, so was the location. Felt so sorry for the guys & Louis. They paid so much & yet the organizer of the event chose such a shit place. They were def expecting more. They deserve better! At least the night was quite entertaining & i got to see a glimpse of what its like to be in the navy. Pretty cool & interesting actually.

Jasmine was there as Melvin's date!! Was so darn happy to know tt she was gng too! Hahaha.

The guys were so spontaneous & extremely hilarious. Laughed so much!

Was so happy there was a photobooth! I love photobooths.

Overall, i wld say the night was entertaining despite the food & venue. At least Louis did enjoy himself. Js like the other guys did too from what i saw. They were a bunch of super loud & hilarious guys. I rly laughed so much.

Gna end off my post w selfies i took while waiting for Louis to pick me up. Hahaha i took 45 mins to do my make up okay!! Its a super rare thing tt i dont normally do. I usually take 5 mins to do my make up. I actually went all out for this. So must take more photos. Hehe ^^
