Christmas 2012.

Christmas last year was a hearty affair. Nvr had a Christmas family dinner for a rly long time. Decided to cook for my family as i haven't had the time or energy to do so ever since  started working. It's aways a joy to cook for your loved ones & to see the food u laid on the table all gone.

Had a christmas dinner party with my group of friends the following day. So i cooked the same thing but w a few addition of dishes.

For dessert i made profiteroles w Haagen daaz ice cream filled in the middle! (: Sadly, this batch of choux puff i made was a bit too salty :(

Played the christmas exchange game!
Everyone picks a random number in accordance to the total number of ppl playing. Start by the smallest number & tt person has to pick any gift & open it on the spot. The 2nd person to pick will pick a noter gift, & open it. If he doesn't like the gift he picks & prefers the one the previous person has, he can exchange his gift w her.

It's a super fun & amusing game! We all laughed like mad.

New year's eve

2012 has been a year filled w ups and downs for me! It has been a tough & exhausting year. I turned 21 this year & am pretty excited for whats more to come. However deep down i'm not quite prepared yet. From the mistakes i've made & the tears i've caused, i will learn from them & mould myself to be a better person in the new year. Slowly & surely, i'll work towards my goals.

New goals. New achievements. New dreams.

I can't wait to kick ass in 2013! How abt u? (:

Spent our night at esplanade walking around, eating desserts as dinner, writing my wish for 2013 on a floating ball, & ended our night w a live gig. Which by the way, sounded spectacular.

Had dinner at a new sushi stall called "Maki-san". What drew us to the place was how colorful the place was! Also, I loved how different the concept on the way the sushi was presented & made. Def a winner for me! (: However, the place is rly small. Like a 20 seater kinda stall.

U cld choose your own ingredients u wanted in your sushi. The first time i went there i was kinda lost cause i didn't fly understand how to order as it's not your average sushi stall. Lol. But the staff there were kind enough to explain to R & i how it goes. The sushi taste pretty awesome! Plus the packaging was js perfect! I actually brought the box home! Hehe (:

I wld def recommend this place for sushi lovers! I swear u'll love it!!

Thankfully for me, my off days usually falls on a weekday. So R was rly sweet to request half day off js to spend the day w me (: Decided to head to Sprmrkt, a grocery-cafe kinda concept. Sprmrkt is pronounced as 'SUPERMARKET' but spelt w/o the vowels!

The last time we went there on a Sunday it was closed as it is located right in the heart of cbd area. So anyways, upon reaching the cafe, i was pretty awed by the concept & the interior design of the place. You cld dine there or shop for groceries & cookware! Their menu changes every week so the office crowd cld keep coming back & not get bored eating the same old thing.

As i had dinner before tt alr, i js had a slice of chocolate tart, which was simply divine!! & A cup of earl grey tea! (: Actually my main purpose was to visit a friend of mine who works under the pastry section! Hehe. Sadly the day i went she left alr. But i am def going back agn! & This time it wld be to try their main course! Their menu looks damn yummy!!
